We are very grateful to the Lord for 2021. It has been a busy year of ministry for the Hudgins family. We have enjoyed being able to travel again especially after last year’s situation. We know it will not be long before we have an empty nest, so we have loved every moment of traveling with Chad and Chase. They were able to return to Colombia for the first time since 2018, visit Kenya and Mexico for the first time ever, and travel in the US visiting churches. It has been an incredible time as a family. We have seen and experienced unforgettable things and have enjoyed wonderful conversations through the many hours of travel. God has been so good in His protection and provision throughout all of this. As we write this update, we are thankful to be united with Joy and Chandler to celebrate Christmas and the coming of the new year.
Kristi stepped out in faith in a new way this year. With guidance from her Keri Kondracki, her MANNA partner and friend, she organized and led her first multi-cultural team of women to Mexico. With Colombians, Americans, and the phenomenal group of Mexican women leaders, we had the privilege of serving women and children. We came together in November to spoil MANNA moms from the nutrition center in Orizaba. We also had a ladies meeting in Tequila and then had an overnight retreat for 60 women. The last day, we took the leadership team and their families out for a special day to spoil them. It was a great trip and the best part was that at least five women came to faith in Christ Jesus, along with five kids. We are so excited about continuing to build into this relationship and the women’s ministry there.
We are blessed to have so many churches and individuals who partner with us in this life God has called us to live. We could not do what we do without you. As you know, we do not receive a salary. Every missionary who works with MANNA raises his own support. This allows the overhead of MANNA to be very low. We continue to live by faith on a daily basis as you live by faith in your support of missionaries around the world. We are so grateful for the love that is shown in your prayers for us and your faithful giving toward our ministry.
God bless you in 2022 as you follow Christ and His calling in your life. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from the Hudgins family! We love you and thank God every time we remember you. “I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy, for your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now” (Philippians 1:3-5).
