Evangelism Team

Earlier this year we started a new ministry called the Evangelism Team for the purpose of training our people to do personal evangelism. The plan is also for the team to start to organize evangelistic activities and events.

As a church, we’ve been going to parks often to do evangelism. That’s a new and scary concept for many of the people in the church, but we’ve been happy to see that a good number of people have taken the risk and joined us, especially some of the young adults.

Mission Trip

We were also very thankful for Grace Church in the Boston area coming to Colombia with Manna Worldwide. We’re happy they included our church in their plans.

They visited the Saturday morning soccer school, and in the afternoon they put on activities for kids in the park where we were working to start a new Bible study.

One mom was saved there at the park, and several signed up for a new Bible study. The next weekend, we started the new study with 26 kids and adults.

Pray for them to return and understand the gospel.

Many people think mission trips are a waste of time, but they are a huge blessing when done well.

New Families

The church is growing in several ways. We have 10 people in the process right now to become church members, several that will be baptized soon, and many others starting to attend.

We’re also seeing the need to start a young adults ministry, which is something we really haven’t done before. Pray for us as we get it started.

Church Camps

We have youth camp June 20-22. Be praying for the kids who will attend those camps. Our church hasn’t gone to camp for several years.

The people of the church have been very generous in giving to help the kids with the cost of camp. Each Sunday a different family has been donating a snack or desert to sell after church. That plus some other generous gifts from families in the church have made it possible for several kids to go who probably wouldn’t have been able to.

The church is starting to feel like a big family again!
