TRAINING & DISCIPLESHIP SCHOOL OF COLOMBIA
Scott arrived back in the United States on the 24th of September after a week of teaching and mentoring at MANNA Worldwide’s Training & Discipleship school in Colombia. Seven of the nine students have expressed interest in full-time ministry either cross-culturally or in their own churches. This is what we have been praying and longing for since we first stepped foot in Colombia in 2007. The vision of the Latin Initiative is being realized right before our eyes and we are thankful to the Lord for His confirmation of the vision He gave us so many years ago!
We have students that are just beginning to deepen their walk with the Lord, but we also have student mentors, who have already gone through the first phase of the school and now are in the process of being trained to be disciplers. It has been so encouraging for us to see these mentors, some of whom accepted Christ in the evangelistic camps many years ago, grow in leadership as they serve these nine students. God prepares us for His work in many different ways, and as the potter, He molds us into what He wants us to be. We have seen this play out in the lives of some of our spiritual children. It is a blessing to be a part of this process in their lives, to walk along side them, and guide them as they seek God and His path.
Please pray for Hugo Mario, Juliana and their family. They started this ministry in 2016. It is their passion and they are convinced that God has called them specifically to this. However, with this now being a MANNA Worldwide ministry, they are beginning the process of raising family support so they can to do this full time. Although they have raised funds for trips in the past, this is a whole new adventure for them. They are so encouraged watching God provide in miraculous ways and their faith is growing by leaps and bounds. We would love for you to accompany them in prayer as they walk this new path. Pray that the Lord will continue to provide for them and that God would give them connections and partners.
